Aussie Team Finishes Second
The Aussie Pairs season is now finished. East Bridgford finished top of the West Division- well done to all who took part. Bottesford won the East Division and due to a quirk in the LCBC rules, the final between East and West was played on Bottesford's green.
East Bridgford were somewhat outclassed by a very good Bottesford team so we won the the 'silver medal'. Congratulations to Bottesford.
Club Competitions Now Finished
The Club cometitions, Aussie Pairs and 4 Wood Singles have now been played.
The winners were Tom Broughton/Phil Clarke in the Aussie, beating Alan Molaneux/Robert Lee. Keith Maywhort in the Singles beating Tom Broughton.
Well done to the winners and thanks to all who entered.
AUSSIE TEAM IN FIRST PLACE
After 6 of the 10 rounds of Aussie Pairs League played, East Bridgford is in first place... by 0.5 of a point.
There are 4 rounds still to go, mostly away and against strong opponents so we need to put our best foot forward. (I'm beginning to sound like Captain Mainwaring here!)
Anyway, so far, so good- well done to the team.
